SECOND STATEMENT CONCERNING SEPTEMBER 2020 ENTRANCE TEST
Following our previous statement of 22 May 2020, please find below an update dated today, 6 July 2020. We thank parents and carers who have already signed up your son/daughter for the Entrance Test. The Consortium is committed to offering students the best opportunity to show their potential in the Test. Given the time that the majority of pupils have had out of school between March-July 2020, we are acutely aware that some students may need additional time to re-establish themselves in a school environment and are monitoring advice from the Department for Education, the Grammar Schools Heads Association and our test provider.
We recognise that an examination on/around 14 September is unlikely to be possible at this time. We therefore propose delaying the entrance test to a date in October (to be advised). Given the later test date, we are therefore reopening the application portal and this will now close on 10 September 2020.
We will continue to update you with any further changes/announcements on each of our schools' websites, which are listed below.
