The deadline for test registration for the Consortium entrance test has now passed.
However, test registration is still open for LATE REGISTRATIONS.
You may still register for September 2021 entry and you will receive an acknowledgement
that your details have been received.Please refer to the important Late Registration messages on the individual website for each school.
Test registrations submitted after the closing date may be rejected.
Further details will follow from the Test Centre you select on the form as to the procedures for accepted late applications.
SEPTEMBER 2021 ENTRY to YEAR 7
The consortium of grammar schools in Shropshire, Walsall and Wolverhampton has agreed
that the Entrance Test for 2021-2022, will NOT be re-arranged for candidates who
are engaged in pre-planned activities, such as school trips, on the test date.
PLEASE NOTE:This form is for use ONLY for entry to Year 7 in September 2021.
Before completing this on-line, test registration form, you will need to have the following information available.
Your child's Primary School full postal address and postcode and the Department for Education (DfE) code for your
child's primary School. The DfE code is 7 digits long and can be found on the
Department for Education EduBase Portal.
Alternatively, please ask your child's Primary School to confirm both the postcode and DfE number to you before you commence completion of this on-line, Test Registration Form.
If your child is eligible for pupil premium, they may be offered a pupil premium admission place according to the
determined, admission arrangements for each school within the Consortium. You MUST indicate in your on-line, Test
Registration if your child is eligible for pupil premium at the time of your registration. If you are unsure, please check
with your child's Primary School before making your on-line, registration. Once you have ticked the box to indicate eligibility,
you will be required to enter additional details including the National Insurance Numbers of parents/carers or guardians.
If there are two parents/carers or guardians living with your child, details must be provided for both.
SEPTEMBER 2021 ENTRY
Welcome to the Grammar Schools in Shropshire, Walsall and Wolverhampton Consortium. By completing this test regisration form your child is eligible to sit the optional entrance test for the following schools (click the school name below to visit that school's website in a new window):

- Mr R J Langton, Headmaster - Queen Mary's Grammar School
- Dr Alison Bruton, Head Teacher - Queen Mary's High School
- Mrs T Young, Head Teacher - Wolverhampton Girls' High School
You only need to make ONE on-line test registration to enable your child to sit the entrance test.
Do not, under any circumstances, make a duplicate, online, test registration for your child. If you have a query or concern at any time during the test registration process, please speak to the test centre school immediately.
It is important to note that your child will only be considered for a place at any of the grammar schools within the Consortium of Shropshire, Walsall and Wolverhampton if the school is listed on your Common Application Form, submitted to your home Local Authority by the due date. Therefore, please ensure that you complete your home, Local Authority secondary school preference form CAF1 and submit by the due return date.
Once you have submitted this online test registration you will receive an email to confirm it has been submitted successfully.
Please check your junk / spam email folder before contacting us if you have not received it.
It is very possible that the confirmatory email will end up in your spam folder! Especially if you use google / gmail. So, if after a couple of minutes, you cannot see the confirmation email please check your spam folder and if you see our email there PLEASE mark it as NOT SPAM!
You will have the opportunity to view and scrutinise the details that you have submitted on your on-line registration. Please check this detail very carefully. Following this, if you identify that you have made a mistake, please speak to the test centre school immediately.
We will try to place boys at their preferred choice of exam centre. However the final allocation will be determined by the Schools.
A notification letter giving information on the outcome of the test will be sent out week commencing Monday 19 October 2020, or earlier if at all possible, in time for parents to complete their LA preference form, CAF1.
BOYS' parents will receive only ONE results letter from the school at which their child has sat the test.
